Today I am going to tell you about my experience in a Swiss school……………

The day started off by having an amazing breakfast. It had snowed 10cm the night before which was exciting. Enola, Vea and I walked to the bus stop and hopped on the bus. The busses here are really small and we had to wear seat belts. The school was in the middle of the mountains and was very small.  When we arrived at the school I was brought into the class and the teacher introduced me to everybody.

The teacher told me to go and sit beside Issac because he spoke a bit of english. After that we all sat in a circle and the class asked me questions about Canada and about our trip. Then the teacher pulled out a map and told me to put stickers on each place I have been. When it was recess we went outside and we were able to throw snowballs! We came back in and we started to do some math.

That’s when I realized that the school had only two classes grade 3/4 and 5/6. It was only about half an hour of math and then the teacher split the class in half so that half went to french and half went to art. I went to art and I met a nice boy named Pascel. In art I got to make a little wallet and a drawing on the computer. I colored the piece of paper and then I got to laminate it and sew and fold the little wallet.

For lunch we got to have cheese fondue because the teacher told me that cheese fondue is very Swiss! It was so good and we all sat around a table together. There was also warm tea. I was invited back the next day but we were leaving so I could not go. It was such a fun day and made me excited to go to school when we get back.
