I want to tell you about one of the many animals that we saw in Galapagos and they were the sea lions. They were so funny of how they walk and what noise they make. So one day we went out for dinner and there was a beach right beside it so we went over to the beach and we saw like 100 of them on the beach. Some of them were sneezing and coughing and when we look’t over we saw this one sea lion and it was wondering around on the skateboarding park. It was funny. Then the next day we saw 2 slides and we thought that they were for kids to go down into the water but no it was for the sea lions to go up the slide to get to the benches or to go down the slide into the water! We also saw this sea lion there was stairs for them and this one guy he went up the stairs and went to the fens and the fens was there so they could not get over but he did he got to the fens and got on top of it then he flop down on the ground and went to the slide to go back into the water and this other one got out of the slide and went over to the bench to lay down it was so funny.

Sharing a bench with a Sea Lion

Sharing a bench with a Sea Lion

In the Galapagos there are only sea lions. Do you know  the differences between a sea lion and a seal?

A sea lion has ears out side of its body and a seal and ears inside of its body. Seals can not go on land because they can not walk on there back flippers. But sea lions can. Sea lions can steer with there back flippers and go faster with there front flippers and then seals do the opposite with there flippers and sea lions can go faster and they can move there bodies easier in the water. So as you can tell they can be quite different and that is it 4 now.

WOW! How strange and wonderful you trip has been. All the different animals and places you have seen. I have to admit the seals all around on the beach and on the bench is pretty funny. It is like you are visiting a giant outdoor zoo. We will have to go snorkeling when we get to Hawaii with you. You should go to the Griffin Observatory in Hollywood. You can see the whole city from up there, and the famous Hollywood sign. But they don’t light it up at night.
    See you in 7 days!
