A week a go we were going to Calgary and when we were driving past a spot on the road and we saw a bunch of rocks and are mom and dad told us that that is the Frank slide. We had no clue what the Frank slide. But mom and dad did and they new that there was a museum about the Frank slide. So we did it and it was amazing! We watched 1 movie and we look’t around the museum. Did you know that the Frank slide was a side of a mountain that slide of and buried a whole town and it was a town called Frank. It was a mining town. If you put all the rocks that fell on the town in a row it would go from the west cost to the east cost of Canada. Now that is far. The Frank slide happened early early in the morning and every one was a sleep in tell they heard the rumbling and people were still in the mines and they were trapped because the opening was closed in so they started to dig out. They all made it but 3 people did not. Hundred and hundred of people died it was very sad and that is the story 4 now.

I remember when Grandpa and I were driving there on our Grand Tour out west! we went by the Frank Slide. I had never heard about it either, but Grandpa knew all about it! and explained it to me too.

Hi Maddie I miss you so much. How are you? I will show you all of the pictures. Those snow flakes must be very very big? The most fun that I have had this trip so far was going to a trampolen place and going to an aquarium and snowboarding and visiting lots of new people.

Thanks Vea for the history lesson! I just did some research about The Frank Slide. Did you know that you could make a wall 1 metre thick and 6 metres high from Vancouver to Halifax with all that rock that came down in the rock slide! Very interesting and I love finding out new things about Canada. I can’t wait for your next post about something new and interesting. xoxo Marcia

Hi everyone here are the answers to the questions.
Cyrus we have seen lots of mountain but we have snowboarded on 10 mountains.
Aidyn the tallest mountain was revelstoke. It is the highest vertical mountain in north america.
Jaryd the Frank mountain is 7,251ft tall.
Daniel the tallest mountain that we have been snowboarding on is Revelstoke and it is 5,620ft tall.

Hi Lizzy Costa Rica is great. I am happy to trade off with a surf board. We all took a surfing lesson and mom and mamor also did it to! Mamor stood up on the board for about 2 seconds and then she fell. But she did great. I am enjoying mamor being here. i miss you to. Love you.
